Department Highlights

  • Students participate in family meal projects and experience international cuisine in Culinary Arts II.

  • The department brings in guest speakers on drugs, reproduction, abstinence, and organ donation.

  • Students bake cookies for the annual Open House.

  • Staff members have CPR certifications.

  • For the Child Development Course, students participate in the "Baby Think It Over" weekend project, tour Miami Valley Hospital's neonatal unit, and observe children at Mini University.

  • Wright State sports medicine students tour athletic training facilities and interview with WSU athletic trainers.

  • Students have the opportunity to assist athletic teams as student athletic trainer aides.

  • There are three-week summer classes in Physical Education and Health.

  • Interior Design students learn about housing design, which includes making a gingerbread house.
