Teaching Philosophy
Teaching at Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School is a vocation to enhance the minds of today’s youth. I strongly believe in the teaching missions of the Society of Mary and the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. I strive to develop the whole person through the teaching of English / Language Arts, while also keeping alive the faith tradition of the Catholic Church. Every day is a new opportunity to develop lifelong learners.
Involvement at CJ
The 2011-12 school year is my sixth year in the English department at CJ. I have taught freshmen English all six years and I really enjoy working with the newest members of the CJ family. I also teach three elective courses – Print Media, Graphic Communications (Yearbook), and ACT/SAT prep. Outside of the school day, I am the head coach of the women’s cross country team and the moderator of the Marianist LIFE program.
