Ministry and Service

Print department information sheet >

Ministry and service is at the heart of our school. Through the Ministry and Service Office, students are offered a wide variety of opportunities to grow in their faith; be of service to the greater Dayton community and beyond; and gain personal experience with the issue of social justice. The office also coordinates religion service requirements for each grade level.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to share the Gospel, promote peace and work for justice by providing faith development experiences and service-learning opportunities for the Chaminade Julienne community.

Students can become involved with ministry through participation in outreach events, liturgies, retreats or one of the peer groups: Marianist LIFE or FLIGHT. Service opportunities are coordinated with over 50 agencies in the Dayton area including Elizabeth Life Center and St. Vincent Hotel. Students also participate in our Little Sibs program and service learning trips (mission trips). Those who achieve outstanding levels of volunteerism for the year are honored at the annual Service Award Assembly held in May.
