Kelli,
On behalf of the staff and guests of the St. Vincent de Paul Gateway Shelter for Women & Families, please accept my sincerest thanks for sending student volunteers to the shelter today. CJ’s “Chaminade Day” was a great success as the boys were able to go through all of our extra blankets, sort them and set aside a portion to be used at other St. Vincent program sites as well as our Community Store. As you know, we love and appreciate CJ students. Please let those who volunteered this morning know that we appreciated their service

Kelli,
My sincere thanks for sending me the wonderful group of young men you had come to Good Neighbor House today!
Non-profit is a constant changing environment and these guys were so fantastic going from sorting clothing, bringing up
donations from our basement to working in the pantry without ever batting an eye!
With every task they were asked to do they did it willingly, cheerfully and in a very positive manner. We were blessed to have their help today!
Please feel free to let us know if other opportunities where we might work with your young people.
They have made a difference!
Blessings,
Marcia Ehlers, Assistant Director, Good Neighbor House

Kelli,
On behalf of the staff and guests of the St. Vincent de Paul Gateway Shelter for Women & Families, please accept my sincerest thanks for sending student volunteers to the shelter today. CJ’s “Julienne Day” was a great success as the girls were able completely clean out and go through our walk-in refrigerator…all is now spic and span. As you know, we love and appreciate CJ students. Please let those who volunteered this morning know that we appreciated their service.

Kelli,
Great job organizing the Chaminade Julie Days! Kudos to all!
I was very impressed with the spirit, maturity, enthusiasm and cooperation of ALL the girls in BOTH my morning and afternoon sessions. It was quite a priviledge for me to work with such a wonderful group of girls!

Kelli,
The Directors at Mount Saint John all had very positive things to say about the students who volunteered at their ministries on Tuesday and Wednesday. Here's one sample from Bro. Joe Barrish, the Director of the Gallery St. John-- "I found the participants polite and very helpful. Please communicate the thanks of all the entities who participated."
Dorothy Keyes, Janine Scott, and I cannot say enough about the groups who helped us. We know that it would have taken us months (and several trips to the chiropractor) to do the work these young folks did. They were so easy going, good-spirited, and steady in doing the chores we had lined up. One group was even singing for a bit during the work period. So please thank all of them for their work.
I also heard from Bro. Jim Facette who worked on the MEEC land to remove invasive plants. It was really COLD, but the students kept at it! Even the supervisor of the grounds crew--who was a bit reluctant at first, was very pleased!
And, finally, thanks to the chaperones who pitched in as well!!!
The work was not exciting, but the outcome for each of the MSJ entities really helps us to do our mission. I hope the students had a sense of that, even though it was just manual labor.
I'll be anxious to hear how the "single gender days" went in the classrooms.
Peace,
Carol Ramey

Kelli,
I would like to thank you for all of your hard work and dedication. Your time is very much appreciated! Crayons to Classrooms is striving to reach as many of the children in the greater Dayton area who live below the poverty line and cannot afford basic school supplies. Your gift of time will help ensure that our operation runs smoothly and we are able to serve these children in need. Thanks again and we hope to see you back at our organization soon!!!
May not have told you lately,
But hope you know it's true,
That every day we're grateful for
A volunteer like you!
Your caring words, your caring deeds,
They mean so very much,
For all you give to others
We can never say "Thank-You" enough!
Thanks,
Cheryl Scott

Kelli,
I enjoyed myself last week – I only knew a couple of students in the group I chaperoned, but that wasn’t even an issue. Our group had very nice boys, and I think Helga at Emmanuel Church taught them something about how to clean!
Enjoy your day,
Barb Handorf, CJ parent-volunteer
