Prom Guidelines

Theme: Once Upon a Time
Ticket price: $20 for a single, $40 for a couple
Tickets will be sold to juniors and seniors during lunch periods on Monday, April 8; Tuesday, April 9; and Friday, April 12. The absolute last day to buy tickets is Monday, April 15. All attendees, including guests, must be dressed appropriately in line with CJ's Dance Dress Code guidelines.

General Guidelines

Each couple MUST have either a CJ junior or a CJ senior in it – no same-sex couples.

Freshmen may NOT attend prom.

You must be at the prom by 10 p.m. or you will not be admitted to the dance.

You must be at school at least 3-½ hours on Friday to attend the prom on Saturday

You may only use the ticket you have been assigned for admission to the dance. If your name or your date’s name is not on the list, you will not be admitted. IDs may be required for non-CJ students.

Any CJ student wishing to attend with a guest who is not enrolled at CJ must complete and submit a Dance Guest Request form before he/she will be permitted to purchase tickets.
Dress Code Guidelines
No one will be allowed in to prom if you are dressed innappropriately:

Dresses MUST be at least KNEE LENGTH.

No bare midriffs (no part of the stomach can be showing).

Dresses CANNOT be too low cut in the front.

Dresses CANNOT be too low cut in the back.

Dresses with slits CANNOT be slit more than four inches above the knee.

No gym shoes or flip-flops. ALL SHOES for gentlemen and ladies MUST be dress shoes.

Gentlemen must be in a collared shirt with a tie, dress pants and sports coat, OR a suit, OR a Tuxedo, and dress shoes

Ladies dresses MUST be at least KNEE LENGTH or LONGER.
Dance Guest Policy - NEW
Any Chaminade Julienne student wishing to attend Prom with a guest who is not enrolled at CJ must complete and submit a Dance Guest Request form before he/she will be permitted to purchase tickets.
CJ students are responsible, and can be dismissed from a dance, for their outside guests’ behavior. All dance attendees must adhere to the rules and dress code listed in the Student Handbook regardless of their affiliation with CJ.
Completed forms must be returned to Jason Unger, assistant principal, for prior approval. If you are considering bringing a date from another school, please plan in advance. Dance Guest Request forms are available online, and may also be picked up in the office of students services.
