CJ alumnae and WNBA players Megan Duffy '02 (Minnesota Lynx and New York Liberty) and Brandie Hoskins '03 (Seattle Storm) join forces with former CJ teammate and Bowling Green University stand-out, Lindsey Goldsberry '05, in bringing over-the-top experience to CJ’s youth basketball camp this year. Mandy Myers, 2000 CJ graduate, will continue to serve as camp director, a position she has held for three years.
“We are excited to have three featured players instruct camp this summer,” said Mike Raiff, CJ athletic director. “This opens up an amazing opportunity to young players who will learn how to improve their playing skills from outstanding athletes with collegiate and professional experience.”
"Girls can expect to have fun and at the same time expect to be challenged to help reach their potential," said Lindsey Goldsberry. "Going to summer camps during the off season is when I developed my basketball skills.
"I'm looking forward to working with future Eagles and basketball players who are ready to have fun and work hard. Camp should be about improving each day and taking the skills that are learned to help become the basketball player they want to be!"
The CJ Eagles girls basketball summer camp will be held June 8-11 from 8:30 – noon. Girls entering grades 3-9 can register by calling CJ’s athletic department at (937) 461-3740 x294 or visiting the CJ Eagles Summer Camps Web page for registration materials. Cost of the camp is $80.
