Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School (CJ) is a private co-ed Catholic school located in downtown Dayton located in the center city of Dayton, Ohio serving an academically and socio-economically diverse student population of nearly 700 young people. We are currently seeking qualified individuals to serve in the positions listed below.

Faculty

  • School Counselor/City Connects Coordinator - Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School seeks a full time School Counselor/City Connects Coordinator for the 2021-22 school year. The mission of a school counselor under the City Connects at CJ model is to help students engage and learn in school by connecting each student with a tailored set of prevention, intervention and enrichment services they need to thrive. 

    City Connects, a partnership between Boston College and Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School, is a comprehensive model of student support that is aligned with the teaching and learning agenda of the school. This model is deeply aligned with ASCA National Standards and emphasizes the importance of counselors acting as a hub for all student support activities. Counselors assess each student and then connect students to needed resources inside and outside of school that help promote students’ academic success and life changes. Counselors are actively committed to eliminating obstacles to learning and achievement.

    - ​Degree Requirements: Master’s degree in School Counseling; additional degree in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work preferred
    - Licensure Requirements: Licensed School Counselor
    - Preferred Experience & Skills: Ability to understand, appreciate, and articulate the unique characteristics of Catholic education in the Marianist and Notre Dame de Namur traditions. Experience with an organization that utilizes data to guide practice.

  • Science Teacher - Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School is seeking a Science teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. Candidates must have current licensure in the subject area and be able to obtain VIRTUS certification.   • Head Coach - Women's Soccer (OHSAA - Division II, Greater Catholic League) - Previous head coaching experience is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will be a positive, well-rounded, and engaging person that will facilitate growth and collaboration both on and off the field and possess a creative and innovative approach with proven techniques to develop and maintain an efficient, competitive soccer program grades (9-12). Qualified candidates must also possess strong communication skills, relational skills, and organizational skills in order to develop and maintain an overall successful program/winning culture focused on academics, faith, character, and athletic excellence that includes the importance/understanding of team dynamics and team chemistry.   • Certified Bus Driver (Part-Time) - Chaminade Julienne is seeking a part-time certified bus driver to start immediately (pending verification of all certifications and background checks). The successful candidate will be required to complete VIRTUS training through the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
