Students are invited to celebrate National Chemistry Week, recognized Oct. 20-26, with a double serving of CJ STEMM Idol Speakers, both young up-and-coming women working in the science, technology, engineering and math fields.
On Tuesday, Oct. 22, guest Terry Hare shares her experiences as a senior engineer for research and development at Procter & Gamble. The University of Dayton graduate is putting her Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree to use in the real world as she develops new products for the company’s line of laundry detergents including Tide and Gain. Terry has recently worked on projects involving the popular Tide Pods and Tide to Go, Instant Stain Remover pens. She is a native of Dayton and soon plans to travel to Belgium on international assignment.
Then on Friday, Oct. 25, program coordinator Kayla Ritter from the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) comes to CJ to discuss study abroad, co-op and career opportunities. Just this month alumnus Cameron Ingram ‘09, who enrolled in a CJ PLTW biomedical sciences course as a high school student, was recognized as the UC CEAS engineer of the month of October. Learn more >
