CJ welcomes alumna Sarah Krug ‘09 who presents at her alma mater Tuesday as our next STEMM Idol Speaker.
The Notre Dame and University of Dayton grad returns to her roots to talk electro-optics — or the interaction between light and electricity within materials and devices — during all homeroom periods in the Trainor Library.
Lasers, holograms and fiber optics are all components of electro-optics. Come see how the physics of light is present in items you use every day including movies and games, such as laser chess. Hands-on demonstrations will be available for all students to test out.
Currently, Ms. Krug works as a graduate research assistant while she pursues her Ph.D. in electro-optics at UD. She completed her thesis work through Wright-Patterson AFB with Leidos, a Fortune 500 American defense company.
Come learn more and network with a fellow Eagle this Tuesday, Nov. 11!
