Athletic Clubs

Eagle youth programs emphasize instruction and competition. They are intended to supplement and not replace CYO sport. The youth program currently offers the following athletic opportunities for grade school students.

Eagle Youth Football & Cheerleading

Sign-ups are now underway. To sign-up, please email Chuck Szabo with your child's name, grade in fall 2016 and a parent/guardian phone number. Equipment pick-up will be held in the Student Conditioning Center (77 Eaker Street) for 7th & 8th graders on July 25-26 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., and for all other players (grades 3-6) July 27-28 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Visit www.eaglesyouthfootball.org for complete details.

The football program is for students entering grades 3-8 next year.

Eagle Youth Boys Basketball
2016-2017 Season

GRADES 3-8

Season: November-March; Tryouts held in September

2016-17 TRYOUTS

Tryouts for boys basketball will be held Sunday, Sept. 18 and Sunday, Sept. 25 in Mary, Our Lady of Victory gymnasium at CJ. 

3rd & 4th Grade - 3-4:30 p.m.

5th & 6th Grade - 4:30-6 p.m.

7th & 8th Grade - 6-7:30 p.m.

This is a select basketball program for boys in the 3rd through 8th grades planning to attend Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School. This affordable program has been established to develop and prepare boys for competition at the high school level and is not intended to replace CYO basketball.

Grades 3-6
The 3rd through 6th grade boys will be competing in the the Dayton Metro Winter League, participating in approximately 25 games. Play begins in early December and ends with a league tournament in early March. Practices will be held in the new Student Conditioning Center on the CJ campus. Information on the Metro League may be found at the league's Web site.

Grades 7-8
The 7th and 8th grade boys will play a middle school schedule that includes home and away dates with Alter, Carroll, several GWOC and area schools. Home games will be played at Our Lady of Victory Gym at CJ.


Eagle Youth Girls Basketball
2016-2017 Season

GRADES 3-8
Season: November-March; Tryouts held in October

Tryouts for girls basketball will be held Sunday, Oct. 2 and Sunday, Oct. 9 from 2-3:30 p.m. in Mary, Our Lady of Victory gym at CJ. If you cannot attend or have questions please contact Bob Menker.

This program will emphasize instruction and competition and is intended to supplement, not replace CYO basketball. The 7th and 8th grade teams will play in the Southwestern Ohio Basketball Winter League. The league schedule includes 10 games. The 3rd-6th grade teams will play in a league to be determined. Player Fees: $200, including uniform.

Wrestlers will be taught the fundamentals—no experience needed.

Sign-ups: The Eagle Youth Wrestling Club will have in-person sign-ups at the CJ Student Conditioning Center (77 Eaker Street) on Wednesday, Oct. 19 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. Youth from Kindergarten through 8th grade are invited to attend and sign up for another great wrestling season.
