Service for Leo - Honoring Leo Lehner '25

As we continue to grieve the loss of one of our students, Leo Lehner '25, we are reminded of St. Julie's words: "One single thing at a time and leave all the rest in the heart of the good God."

The CJ community held a prayer service for Leo and his family, attended by students, parents, teachers and staff members and other people important in Leo’s life. School opened Wednesday morning with an all-school rosary prayer service, where Greg Mueller, principal, shared his thoughts with teachers, staff members and students.

“For those who may not have been lucky enough to meet Leo, here are a few things that you should know about him,” he said. “One of his many goals at CJ was to set a new record for most service hours performed over four years. He was an avid rower and member of the Dayton Boat Club and a member of the performing arts department and choir at CJ. He loved spending time cheering on the Eagles in our student section. He was a member of St. Albert's Catholic Church and comes from a family with legacy at CJ. But most importantly, Leo greeted everyone he met with a smile, a positive spirit, and those beautiful sparkling eyes.”

The CJ community is invited to honor Leo's legacy by helping Leo reach his goal of the most service hours performed over a four-year span. All are invited to record their act of service or kindness here.
