Sister Dorothy Stang Symposium - Thursday, March 30

The CJ community is invited to attend the annual Sister Dorothy Stang Symposium this Thursday, March 30 at 7 p.m. in the CJ auditorium. This event celebrates the life and legacy of Sister Dorothy Stang, SNDdeN '49 as well as the class of 2023, who will present their capstone projects. CJ will also welcome alumni Kiara DiLoreto '18 as keynote speaker.

This year's senior students have generously served with "hearts and minds as wide as the world" and have put their faith in action by creating projects centered around issues of animal rights, literacy, education, environment, human trafficking, mental health, and many others.

The capstone project is one of the many ways students are grounded in their education to be servant leaders working for justice in our world today. This yearlong project begins in the fall with a formal proposal, continues with a research inquiry and calls upon the groups to create and implement a project designed to make an impact on their various social justice issues.
