New Employees Join the CJ Community
The Chaminade Julienne community is excited to welcome students and teachers back to campus for the 2023-2024 school year. Members new to the community include more than 200 students and 16 individuals who launched their CJ career. Please help us welcome:

Lauren Tilton works as a school counselor serving students with the last name initials Gf-O. Tilton moved to Dayton from Boston, Mass. over the summer and recently had a baby. She formerly worked at Walpole Public Schools and is a graduate of the University of Boston.
"To me, working at CJ means an opportunity to develop a second home here in Dayton. I am excited to join the CJ community and get to know students, staff and the Dayton area at large. Being located downtown allows for me to not only explore Dayton through the CJ campus, but through the many community partnerships and businesses that are affiliated with and located around CJ. I feel very lucky to have landed here!"
Jessica Kayden teaches science at CJ after recently moving to Dayton from Springfield, Ill. Her past experience includes teaching at Sacred Heart-Griffin High School. She is a graduate of Saint Louis University and the University of Dayton.
"I am so excited to get to know the students of CJ and work in a community rooted in faith. I am looking forward to teaching my students to think critically and doing different labs and activities with them!"
Brian Carter, formerly a social studies educator, begins his time at CJ as a French teacher. Carter comes to CJ after teaching at Franklin High School. He is a graduate of Miami University.
“I'm excited to begin a new year in a new district and to engage with a fresh, new group of students who seem equally as excited as I am to begin the year!”
Samuel Eckel, once a DECA Middle School educator, is now one of CJ’s math teachers. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati.
“I'm most excited about the culture here at CJ. The students and staff all seem to love it here. Many of the members of our school are either involved in or support our sports and clubs. I'm also really excited by the faith life aspect of our school. I'm ready for a great school year and most of all, Go, Eagles!”
Timothy Hosford is now the assistant director of ministry and service and recently celebrated his graduation from Marian University, Indianapolis and moved back home to Dayton.
“I'm excited to meet our students where they're at, developing and challenging their faith by helping them encounter Christ in retreat and in their daily lives.”
Elise Chandler will work with students from Our Lady of the Rosary as well as CJ students as an English Learner instructor. Chandler formerly served at St. Luke Catholic School in Beavercreek. She is a graduate of Wright State University.
“I am excited to be at CJ because of the welcoming environment it has for both students and faculty. I look most forward to growing and learning with my school. I am grateful to find my home.”
Ella Marie works with both CJ and Our Lady of the Rosary students as a science teacher. Her past experience saw her teaching in Cincinnati Public Schools. She graduated from Loyola University.
“This year, I am excited about leading students to be spiritually uplifted, academically focused and culturally embraced each and every day.”
Grace Dudley now works as CJ’s health teacher after her time as the prevention coordinator for a non-profit domestic and sexual violence agency. She graduated from Miami University and is recently married.

Mary Kate Morber also works with both CJ and Our Lady of the Rosary students. Morber is a graduate of the University of Dayton, and is set to graduate from the Lalanne program in the summer of 2025.
“I am looking forward to being a part of the CJ community this year. It has already been so amazing to begin forming intentional relationships with the students and faculty.”
Jenny Weinberg works in Founders Center in the business office as an accountant for CJ. She is a graduate of Xavier University.
“I am excited to be at CJ because I love the community here and I am looking forward to getting to know everyone better!”
Sherry Gabert is currently serving as a school counselor intern. Her past experience entailed serving as the principal of St. Albert the Great School.
“I am excited to be at CJ learning new skills as an educator and working with the counseling department. I look forward to working with students as an intern counselor.”
Zachary Almeida will serve as a math teacher for Our Lady of the Rosary students on campus. He just recently moved to Dayton from St. Louis, Mo. where he taught at St. Raphael the Archangel School. He is a graduate of Xavier University.
“I am excited about joining the CJ community, and am looking forward to getting to know all the students and staff at CJ.”
Hannah Walton now serves as the physical education teacher for CJ and Our Lady of the Rosary students. She is a certified athletic trainer for Performance Health Chiropractic in West Chester, graduated from Wilmington College, and is recently married.
“I look forward to showing students an alternative and fun route to become physically active in their daily lives. I will be encouraging students to be physically active in class, outside of class, and later on into their adult lives. I hope to inspire some students to find a new love for a sport or activity that they would not have previously tried before.”
Maggie Rosenwald, once a Spanish teacher at Madison local schools in Middletown, now puts her Spanish skills to work at CJ and Holy Angels Elementary School. She is a graduate of the University of Dayton and is recently married.

Brian Mix became a full-time social studies teacher this year after serving CJ as a substitute teacher. Mix was most recently the CCD instructor at St. Charles Borromeo and is a graduate of the University of Dayton.
“I have had the privilege of spending the past few years at CJ in various capacities, and what always stood out to me were the displays of community, faith, diversity and family that are present here. Those aspects of the culture here made it a really easy decision for me when it came time to find a place to call home this school year and hopefully for many years to come.”
