Patrick Rizer Named Director of Student Services

Chaminade Julienne welcomes Patrick Rizer as director of student services, beginning July. In his role, he will oversee the activities of student life at CJ.

During his career in education, Patrick has served as a teacher, dean of students, and as someone who has facilitated City Connects, provided EL (English Learners) professional development for teachers and staff members, and provided direct support for students and families. He enjoys working with students, and has served as coach and student council moderator in addition to being a teacher.

Rizer is completing the school year as the high school principal of Catholic Central in Springfield, Ohio, a role in which he has served since 2017. He looks forward to serving in a leadership role that directly impacts student development and learning, and believes that working with CJ teachers and staff members will help him grow in knowledge, experience, and his capacity to serve students.

“Patrick brings a great range of experiences and talents to our school community, and I have no doubt that he will be a great addition to our leadership team,” said Greg Mueller, principal. “He looks forward to meeting the students and their families and helping them make their four years at CJ an incredible experience.”

Continuing in Catholic education is significant for Rizer.

“As a Catholic educator I deeply believe in working with young people to develop their God given gifts and seek out how God desires those gifts to be used,” said Rizer.

“As a product of the University of Dayton, I know first hand the blessings of Marianst education. As a lifelong Daytonian, I have witnessed the strength and unity of the Chaminade Julienne community. For all of these reasons I feel blessed to have the opportunity to serve the vision of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur and the Society of Mary. Chaminade Julienne is a special community.”
