CJ Welcomes New Teachers for the 2022-2023 School Year
It’s a fresh and exciting start of the 2022-2023 school year for Chaminade Julienne, with the school well-positioned for a strong launch. Among the faculty and staff members who are welcoming students back to campus are 18 new educators who have joined the CJ community to share their gifts and talents. Please help us welcome:

Angelo Knight ‘18 is a recent University of Dayton graduate who is teaching middle school band programs, assisting with Eagle Pride marching band, and coordinating the a cappella groups.
Brooke Bauersfeld is teaching science this year with his most recent experience at Bishop Fenwick High School. Bauersfeld has a master’s degree in HPERD (Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance).
Jackie Washington joins the math department and comes to CJ from Christian Academy of Louisville. She brings with her a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies from Abilene Christian University
Amelia Rone brings with her a degree in fine arts from the University of Cincinnati and will teach art as part of CJ’s partnership with K-12 Gallery & TEJAS.
Gabriel Lawson, once a teacher and director of camp ministry for St. Charles in Columbus, teaches religion this year. Lawson is a University of Dayton graduate and earned a master’s in theological studies from Boston College School of Theology & Ministry.

Megan Brinker graduated from the University of Dayton with a bachelors in AYA science and is joining the science department. She is currently working to complete her masters degree from UD and most recently worked in Dayton Public Schools.
Karin Klausing is one of two new intervention specialists for the Cuvilly program. She comes to CJ from Immaculate Conception with a bachelor's in education from the University of Dayton.
Andrew Villarreal earned his bachelor’s of mathematics from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX and is excited to join our math department. He has many ties to the community as he currently resides with the Marianist Brothers at the University of Dayton and has worked as a long-term substitute teacher at Holy Angels.
Jenna Legg will serve as a religion teacher. She brings with her a bachelor’s in religious studies psychology from the University of Dayton. Most recently she worked for the Sisters of the Precious Blood.
Tina Rodriguez, not a completely unfamiliar face as she assisted the Cuvilly program last year, Rodriguez officially joins the team this year as an intervention specialist. She brings with her a doctorate of educational leadership from the University of Phoenix.

Sabin Satheesh, Abdul Rehman Memo, Lauren Komanetsky, and Sri Rekha Pandrini are all University of Dayton graduate students. Through a partnership with UD, these educators will work with our students who are taking Project Lead the Way engineering courses.
Each of these new educators bring something valuable and unique to the Chaminade Julienne community and we appreciate that they chose to be part of the CJ experience from which our students will learn and grow in great ways.
