Student Council

2018-2019 School Year

Students - are you spirited, creative, and motivated?!  Do you want to help make our school the best it can be?! Do you want to get involved at CJ and make a positive difference?  Do you want to be a leader?!

If you answered YES to any of the above questions, then get involved with student council! 

If you are interested in running for a Student Council position for next year - either Class Officer, Class Ambassador, Spirit Committee, or Social Committee - then you must attend ONE of the following MANDATORY meetings to get information about our application process and elections:

  • WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18 from 3:05 - 3:25pm in the CJ Library
  • THURSDAY, APRIL 19 from 7:25am - 7:50am in ROOM 144

You MUST attend one of these meetings if you want to apply for a Student Council position next year. 


Staff Appreciation Activities, Student Body Activities, & Service Activities – Get as many students involved, active, and having as much fun as possible in social and spirit activities in our school – Develop good, strong, positive, Christian Leaders to do great things in life and to be inspired & passionate about leading!!

Freshman Elections for Class Officers will be in November – after 1st quarter grades are in – Look & listen for announcements.

Upper Class Officer & Ambassador Elections & Social & Spirit Committee Selection Interviews take place in April / May.

SOCIAL COMMITTEE
Homecoming, Christmas, Prom, Mother/Son and Father/Daughter dances, Karaoke for the Cure and Ice Cream socials.

SPIRIT COMMITTEE
Pep Rallies, Spirit Items, CJ Superfans

MEETING INFORMATION

  • Student Council meets on Wednesdays: 3:10 to 4 p.m. (2-3 times per month)
  • Meetings are in Room 149, the library and the auditorium

  • 5 Sophomore Class Officers
  • 5 Freshman Class Officers
  • Social Committee (approximately 6 students who lead this committee, but all are welcome to help out!)

  • Student Ambassadors for each grade (approximately 5 – 12 per grade)
