2008 Eagle's Summer Camps - Activity and Athletic
Registrations for the 2008 Eagle's Summer Camps are being accepted now through one week prior to the first day of camp. For more information on athletic camps, call 461-3740 x294. Athletic camps include basketball, cheerleading, dance team, football, soccer, tennis, volleyball and wrestling. For more information on activity camps, call 461-3740 x210. Activity camps include Laffalot (variety of sports and games), band, science and writing.

Athletic Physicals
Students participating in a sport or in band next year must have physicals. Physicals can be performed by family physicians or obtained on Saturday, May 10 from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Good Samaritan North Hospital, 9000 North Main Street (Lakeside entrance). Physicals are on a first-come, first-served basis and cost $15 (not $12 as published, sorry).

Students must take the OHSAA form, with the parent's portion of the form completely filled out, to their physicals. Copies are available in the athletic office or can be downloaded.

College Senior Transition Day
Nationally, 26% of college freshmen drop out. College success can be enhanced with a little planning and thinking before heading away to campus. College 101 gets students thinking about how to navigate the first year successfully.

Brian Raison, a professor from OSU, will present this program designed for "any student heading to any college."

Topics will include:

  • choosing college classes
  • know thy professor
  • note taking 101
  • test taking strategies
  • time management
  • social scene surprises
  • credit card lies
  • crazy roommates
  • safety on campus
